Title: Include a title for your submission of no more than 15 words.
Running title: A brief running title should be on the top of each right-hand print page and along top of the online browser window, not to exceed 15 words. If running title is declarative or interrogative sentences, it is not acceptable.

Abstract: An abstract is a brief, comprehensive summary of the contents of the article; it allows readers to survey the contents of an article quickly. Abstract should be concise less than 250 words and describe, in a paragraph, concisely purpose, methods, important results and describe conclusion of the study, but not repeat information already presented in the title. Short communication or clinical case reports must also be submitted with an abstract.

Key words: This is a list important terms relevant to the content of paper. Up to 4-5 key words should be listed at the bottom of abstract to be used as index terms.

Articles versus briefings: Articles address critical themes or case analyses and must be contextualized within the scholarly and policy literature and existing debates on peace education and development. Articles are 7,000 words at most, including endnotes and bibliographical references. Briefings are practice or policy reviews on current events and topical issues that do not exceed 2,500 words unless editors suggest otherwise. They do not need to refer to the literature.

1) Format: All submissions to the Journal of Peace education & Development must be typed 1.5-spaced using Times New Roman, 12 pt, with a one inch margin. The article must be typed on word-processing software, preferably MS Word 7

Editorial style: (punctuation, capitalisation, etc.)

- Referencing: Please use the APA System of Referencing but use single quotation marks instead of double. Use parenthetical referencing in text (author date:, e.g. (Moyo 2000).

For bibliographical referencing, use the order: author, date, title, place, publisher.

- Endnotes: Should be kept to a minimum – 10 at the most – and placed at the end of the article.

Diagrams, figures, maps and other graphic material: should be placed at appropriate body of the manuscript.

Table should be typewritten separately from the text, double spaced, and each table should include a title. Vertical rulings in tables are unacceptable. Figures should ordinarily be original drawings. However, glossy photographs of line-drawing are usually satisfactory. In each original line-drawing, letters or numbers should be left blank because they will be typed in during printing. Letters or numbers should be included in the figures contained in a submitted manuscript along with caption for figures. Authors should place explanatory matter in footnotes, not in the heading. Explain in footnotes all nonstandard abbreviations that are used in each table. For footnotes use the following symbols, in sequence: *,†,‡,§,||,¶,**,††, ‡‡ .
Nomenclatures, Unit, Abbreviations, and Symbols Nomenclatures for chemicals and biochemical’s, microorganism, and genes should follow the guidelines in the instructions to authors of journals published by American Society for Microbiology. SI units (System International Unites) should be used whenever possible. Abbreviations should be used for those recommended by IUPA-IUB Commission on Biochemical Nomenclature and Related Documents.

Proof-correction should be in red ink; in the margins. All queries marked in the article should be answered. Proofs are supplied for a check-up of the correctness of type-setting and facts. Excessive alteration may be charged to the authors. The proofs should be returned within 7 Working days.

Pull-Quotes: Please bold up to 10 ‘stand alone’ phrases, preferably full sentences which will be highlighted in the final publication as ‘pullouts’. They should reflect your original contributions or simply make a telling point. Try to distribute them evenly throughout the text. Why Publish in IJPED?

An International peer-reviewed journal.
Open access means that your work will always be freely available to the world from our RP website. And open access translates into greater usage and more citations.

Results Published FAST

IJPED couples efficient and objective peer review with a streamlined electronic production workflow.

Rigorous peer-review

Too often a journal’s decision to publish a paper is dominated by what the Editor/s think is interesting and will gain greater readership-both of which are subjective judgments and lead to decisions which are frustrating and delay the publication of your work. IJPED will rigorously peer-review your submissions and publish all papers that are judged to be technically sound. Judgments about the importance of any particular paper are then made after publication by the readership (who are the most qualified to determine what is of interest to them).

Inclusive scope

Most conventional journals publish papers from tightly defined subject areas, making it more difficult for readers from other disciplines to read them. IJPED has no such barriers, which helps your research reach the entire scientific community.

IJPED is indexed in 40+ International Universities and many other Indexing agencies which will make your research work available to many readers and more citations.

To encourage IJPED reviewers for timely and quality reviews on a regular basis, IJPED has established the following policy on rating and awarding our reviewers for their time and effort.

1. Each reviewer can get a IJPED reviewer certificate upon their request, once they have completed at least 5 IJPED reviews.

2. After a reviewer certificate, the reviewer will be considered for the “IJPED Reviewer Award” on the basis of score.

3. To provide reviewer score information for rewarding our outstanding reviewers, IJPED Editor-in-Chief, score every reviewer at paper decision time. There are 3 scoring for handling editors to choose:

A. Excellent (90 - 100)
B. Good (70 - 89)
C. Below average (< 70)
